Leann Sassine

A Committed Advocate

Leann is a sole practitioner at Costante Law. She has been practicing in personal injury and civil litigation since her call to the bar. Having worked at one of Ontario's premier personal injury law firms, she brings with her experience in handling serious injury cases. Leann also has a diversity of experience in employment law, commercial disputes, wills and estates. Leann prides herself on providing exceptional service to her clients with compassion and integrity. 

Community Minded

Growing up in Windsor, Leann is very dedicated to her community. While in law school, she developed a grassroots strategy focused on engagement and empowerment for West Windsor.  She also developed a partnership with the Business School focused on engaging students to create social enterprises to serve the local community.


Leann has also extensively volunteered for local organizations including Victim Services, Victim Witness Assistance, United Way, and the University of Windsor.


Leann is currently the Vice President of the Brain Injury Association of Windsor & Essex County Board of Directors, where she continues to demonstrate her commitment to advocacy in the community.

Achievements

Leann completed her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Windsor in 2015. She also completed her Master of Business Administration in 2011 and her Bachelor of Arts in Forensic Science and Criminology in 2008.


In 2015, Leann was honoured with the Law Society of Upper Canada Award for Outstanding Achievement in Legal Studies.  Leann ranked 3rd in a graduating law class of 140 students, while working and volunteering in her community.


Leann was also the recipient of the Miller, Thompson LLP award for academic excellence and extracurricular activities.


In 2014, Leann completed a Clerkship at the Ontario Court of Justice with The Honourable Justice Douglas W. Phillips. In 2015, Leann competed in the Gale Moot, one of Canada’s most prestigious national moot competitions.
